Making collections feel immediate
Museum films have to convey the character of a place while giving individual objects room to speak.
Across projects for Victoria Art Gallery and Fashion Museum Bath, we produced subtitled collection stories, curator-led films and the Through the Eyes of Volunteers series. Working with curators and venue teams, we combined interviews, object detail, archive material and atmospheric filming to make specialist knowledge accessible and visually engaging.
Peter Brown: Bath, Bristol & Beyond
Created for Victoria Art Gallery’s Bath, Bristol & Beyond exhibition, this film follows acclaimed plein-air painter Peter Brown as he reflects on working through lockdown, rediscovering Bristol and depicting the public response to the death of Queen Elizabeth II, including the lying-in-state queue.
Royal Women: Princess Margaret
A curator-led film combining dress detail, conservation handling and archive photography to reveal the thinking, craftsmanship and personal style behind the collection.
Through the Eyes of Volunteers
In Through the Eyes of Volunteers, Victoria Art Gallery volunteers introduce a favourite painting from the collection and explain what makes it special to them.
